The continuous cycle process operates with steam as the working fluid and is carried out in a closed multistage gas turbine plant(1). Before start up of the plant and after shutting down the working fluid is stored as a condensate in a storage vessel(8) between the power engine and working machine. The conversion of the stored energy of the working fluid and additional gaseous medium into mechanical energy takes place within the gas turbine plant. The conversion product from the hydrogen gas reaction is used as an additional vapor-form working medium. The additional vapor-form working medium resulting from the internal combustion is used for the purposes of pressure, temperature and mass increase of the working fluid directly on the blading(5) of the multistage gas turbine. An Independent claim is included for a system for carrying out a multistage steam powered continuous cycle process in which feed lines(6) for gaseous hydrogen and gaseous oxygen are provided on the individual turbine stages in direct proximity to the blading.
