PURPOSE: A method of preserving data when charging money is provided to secure preservation and reliability for charging money by transmitting and receiving the coded money data exposed on a transmit channel when charging money to an electric card. CONSTITUTION: A method of preserving data when charging money comprises the steps of: transmitting each coded charging money and current charging money additionally from a wireless management system; decoding the primary and secondary signals at a portable terminal; deciding if the sum of money up to date is equalized with one restored from the secondary signal; and storing the data by deciding that the transmitted charging money is right if the sum of money is equalized.
