ONE NUMBER SERVICE METHOD USING ENHANCED SERVICE PLATFORM

PURPOSE: An ONS(One Number Service) method using an ESP(Enhanced Service Platform) is provided to integrate various communication service numbers into a single logical number so that a called subscriber can receive calls through the integrated number at any time and anywhere. CONSTITUTION: If a call is supplied to an ESP(201), the ESP judges whether the called number of the incoming call is subscribed for an ONS system(202). In case that the called number is subscribed for an ONS system, the ESP executes subscriber authentication work(204). The ESP inquires into subscriber information(205) and analyzes whether the subscriber is a valid subscriber(206). If he is not a valid subscriber, the ESP sends an information message(Anmt_Err2) for invalid subscribers(207). In case that the subscriber is a valid subscriber, the ESP judges whether the received call is a facsimile tone or a voice tone(208). In case that the received call is the voice tone, the ESP executes call processing service(209). If the received call is the facsimile tone, the ESP checks a state of a facsimile processor(210). If the facsimile processor is not normal, the ESP sends an information message(Anmt_Err3)(211). In case that the facsimile processor is not normal, the ESP executes facsimile service(212).
