摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for manufacturing materials which is used for large-scaled hot forging mold is provided to offer the reduction of a production cost, which is derived from the enhancement of the use efficiency for materials to be put into, as well as the decrease of the loss of materials to be used. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is comprised of a mold(20), a dissolving electrode(50) and a power supply(60) as shown in figure 4a. The mold(20) has cross-sectional shape similar to those of the desired product, and it is mounted to be opened to the upper so to give a path for cold water connecting from the bottom to the top. The lower of the electrode(50) is incorporated into the mold(20). The supply(60) works as an energy source. The process using the apparatus is characterized in that the dissolving electrode(50) melting in the mold(20) is appropriately solidified by moving from the lower to the top, by way of the cold water traveling in the mold(20).
