<p>The present invention relates to a method for modifying the volume of working chambers in positive-displacement machines, wherein said method can be used in the construction of positive-displacement machines based on the principles of gas compression and expansion such as piston or helical rotating compressors, pressure reducers, engines or rotating-vane dual-rotor liquid-annular compressors. The purpose of the present invention is to develop a method for modifying the volume of the working chambers in order to increase the volumetric efficiency of the positive-displacement machines. To this end, the method involves filling open cavities with a gas, forming the working chamber cavities, modifying the volume thereof by displacing a mobile turn of a working chamber relative to another one, opening the working chambers and ejecting the gas therefrom. The method involves modifying the volume of each of the working chambers thus formed, while the transfer of the gas in the working chamber upon rotation of the rotor takes place between any pair of adjacent protruding turns moving in the same direction at different speeds due to the different inclination angles of their helices. The volume of the working chambers is modified by displacing a mobile turn relative to another mobile turn at a relative speed which is lower than the own speed of the turn displaced in this direction. The transfer of the gas in the working chamber is carried out at the speed occurring behind the running turn.</p> |
