PURPOSE: An electron gun for color cathode ray tube is provided to reduce greatly spherical aberration and astigmatism received from main lens by making an incidence into main lens after making a previous focus electron beam. CONSTITUTION: A fronting triode part is composed of cathode(21), control electrode(22), screen electrode(23), a subsidiary lens and main lens are composed of the first(24), second(25) focus electrode, and final acceleration electrode(26) is installed. The first static voltage(VS1) is licensed at above control electrode(22) and the first focus electrode(15), the second static voltage(VS2) is licensed at above screen electrode(23) and the focus voltage(VF) and anode voltage(VE) is licensed at above the second focus electrode(25) and final acceleration electrode(26) separately. The first static voltage(VS1) is ground voltage, the second static voltage(VS2) is 200 to 400 volts, and the focus voltage(VF) is 28% of 25 to 35KV of anode voltage(VE).
