PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reclaimed molding having not deteriorated quality while reducing energy consumption and alleviating the influence on the environment by melting a recovered thermoplastic resin and a virgin thermoplastic resin so as to form a moldable product containing both resins in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This molding is prepared by mixing 20-30 wt.% pieces of a recovered thermoplastic resin with 7-80 wt.% pieces of a virgin thermoplastic resin to form a compound and molding the compound by melting under heating into a specified shape. The pieces of the recovered thermoplastic resin are prepared by recovering moldings such as used duplicating machines, disassembling them, removing materials of different types from thermoplastic resin components, separating the resin components into resins of respective types, and grinding them to a size of 3-10 mm. The comparison of a reclaimed molding material being a modified polyphenylene ether with a mixture of a virgin resin with a recovered resin shows that when the ratio of mixing with a recovered resin is 20-30 wt.%, the melt flow index value differs little from that of the virgin resin, and good results can be attained concerning combustibility and a contaminant count.
|
