PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle mechanism of a fishing reel, capable of preventing the screw-in type handle from loosening. SOLUTION: One or more handle 11 can be attached to both the sides or the side of the main body of the reel and can be folded away. A screw portion 16 capable of being threadedly attached to the tip screw portion 17 of the handle shaft 10 is disposed at both the ends or the end of a driving shaft 7 having a master gear 6. A handle collar capable of being slid in the axial direction is disposed on the handle shaft 10. A rotation control means 18 is disposed between the driving shaft 7 and the handle collar 14. Rotation-stopping means 10a, 14a are disposed between the handle shaft 10 and the handle collar 14.
