PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely support the free end of a tool which is rotated being gripped by a spindle of a machine tool, by means of a tale support. SOLUTION: A spindle 30 is provided adapted to be extended and retracted by a servo-motor 27 is provided on a side surface of a column 12 standing on a bed 11, and a workpiece W is fabricated by a tool T which is rotated being gripped by a spindle 30. A tale support supporting member 33 provided a tale support 33 supporting the free end of the tool T, for preventing the tool T from being loosed, is fixed at its one end to the bed 11 and at its upper end to the column 12 through a coupling member 22. With this arrangement in which the tale support supporting member 31 is supported at both ends and connected to the bed 11 and the column 12, the stiffness of the tale support supporting member 13 is enhanced, thereby it is possible to precisely support the free end of the tool T.
