PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate or a plate-like structure having a light weight and a mechanical strength and a method for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: It is assumed that a surface of a thin plate is partitioned to triangular or square mesh state. Sites of the mesh are extruded in triangular, quadrangular pyramidal or circular conical shape separately in front and rear directions to form thin plates 6b continuously repeating protrusion and recess shape or molded from the first in the same shape so that angled surfaces are existed in all directions and the plates have high bending strengths in lateral and longitudinal directions and high twisting strengths.
