PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily determine rainfall at home. SOLUTION: In a rain gauge 1 that can readely be utilized domestically, the scale of a unit of 1 mm is printed on the rain gauge 1, and a magnifying glass such as a plastic lens is placed on it. In this case, a magnifying glass 3 is installed while the upper and lower projecting parts 4 and 6 of the magnifying glass 3 are set to be engaged with the upper and lower recessed parts 5 and 7 of the rain gauge, thus enabling a small scale to be read easily.
