PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having a structure easy to clean, capable of reducing the resistance of fishing line and having excellent operability. SOLUTION: This fishing rod comprises a gangway 20K having an entrance 20A near to the front of a reel 16 installing part 14 and an exit 20B placed on the front opposite side of the rod diameter to the entrance 20A in which a fishing line 18 drawn out from the reel 16 is capable of straightly passing through in the gangway, aiming a fishing line guide G1 placed on the exit side of the outside of the rod front of the gangway 20K or capable of aiming, and the length L1 from the entrance 20A to the exit 20B of the gangway 20K along the rod direction is set as capable of gripping.
