PURPOSE: A method and a device for supplying a detergent of a washing machine are provided to improve the melting rate of a powdered detergent, to be economic and to prevent the water pollution by reducing the used amount of the powdered detergent. CONSTITUTION: At starting a washing process, a powdered detergent is inputted into an accepting room(42) of a container(40). The melting signal of detergent is inputted by controlling a selecting button for detergent melting of a key matrix(70). A microcomputer(80) decides that a signal for melting a detergent is inputted. Then water is supplied into the accepting room(42) of the container(40) by opening a water supply valve(14). The amount of water supply through the water supply valve(14) is controlled by the control of the microcomputer(80). The microcomputer decides that the water supply is finished, and drives an agitator(50). The powdered detergent is melted by agitating water and the powdered detergent by the driving of the agitator(50). |
