PURPOSE: A winch for an elevator is provided to stabilize a load and to reduce the shape length of the winch by forming a supporting shaft into a single shaft and by installing a sheave on the outer diameter of a motor rotor. CONSTITUTION: A winch is composed of supporting stands(11)(11') installed in both sides having a certain distance, a stator(12) placed between the supporting stands, a supporting shaft(13), a cylindrical tube shaped rotor(14), a sheave(15) inserted in the outer diameter of the rotor, a housing(16) rotating while supporting the sheave and the rotor, and a disk electromotive brake(18) braking the rotation of the sheave by installing on one horizontal face of a rotor shaft direction to be removable. Therefore, porosities between the rotor and the stator are in a line by installing the supporting shaft to be one. Then the winch reduces the clogging situation of an electromotive motor and makes the process simple.
