METHOD FOR REMOVING BLOCKING EFFECT AND RINGING EFFECT OF IMAGE SIGNAL

PURPOSE: A method for removing blocking effect and ringing effect of image signal is provided to remove the blocking effect or the ringing effect irregularly generated in respective compressed image by setting adaptive additional function to respective pixel, estimating the correlation between adjacent pixels, and extracting the correlation between images from motion vector information. CONSTITUTION: A method for removing blocking effect and ringing effect of image signal comprises steps of: adaptively setting a function deciding the correlation among the relaxation density defining the ununiformity of horizontal and vertical directions of respective pixel, the reliability of an original image due to difference between the original image and a compressed image, and the time area of the pixels as an additional function; calculating regulation parameters displaying the ratio of the ununiformity density and the reliability defined by respective additional function; and acquiring image finally recovered using projection methode.
