METHOD FOR REMOVING TOXIC COMPOUNDS OF ORITENTAL ACONITI

PURPOSE: The removal method of toxic compounds of Oriental aconiti is provided which removes aconitine alkaloids such as higenamine, aconitine, mesaconitine, hypaconitine, jesaconitine, bikhaconitine, and pseudo aconitine. CONSTITUTION: The toxic compounds of Oriental aconiti are removed by the following steps: 1)5-15 wt.% of licorice root against Oriental aconiti is mixed with water as 12-18 times weight there as and is boiled down. (The ratio of Oriental aconiti, licorice root, to water is 10: 1: 15.) 2)The Oriental aconiti is soaked in the licorice root solution obtained from step 1 and then dehydrated. 3)The Oriental aconiti is steamed at 100-150°C for 4-6 hours.
