PURPOSE: A method for detecting a pulse digit in a PBX is provided to prevent an omission of a pulse digit by compensating a wrong sense of a received pulse. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting a pulse digit in a PBX comprises the steps of: outputting input pulse digits as a multitude of first digit value according to a predetermined first period unit; outputting a value corresponding to a predetermined condition after comparing the first pulse digit values to a predetermined second period unit; outputting the corresponding value as a multitude of second pulse digit value according to the second period unit; and outputting a value corresponding to a predetermined condition after comparing the second pulse digit value to a predetermined third period unit.
