The unit consists of a piston (3), which can be axially adjusted in the hollow chamber (2) of a cylinder (1). The piston rod (4) has an axial opening (18) in which a sprung rod (19) inserts axially from inside and is attached to the inner end region of the piston rod by in either a pinned or fixed manner. The rod has a radial spacing from the opening in the end region of the piston rod.
