PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to display a function selected by a user. SOLUTION: Six icons are displayed on the upper part of the display screen of an LCD display. The six icons are a clock icon 62, a calendar icon 63, a world clock icon 64, a menu icon 65, a CD-DA (digital audio) icon 66 and a CD-I (interattractive) icon 67. A required icon is selected by an X-Y device or a mouse to change a picture to the picture of the selected icon. When it is detected that the CD-DA or the CD-I is not loaded, the picture of clock system is automatically displayed. Even while the CD-DA or the CD-I is reproduced, a user can select a required picture and the selected picture can be displayed. |
