PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device where a transmitter side can discriminate a re-transmission start page in the case that transmission of an original is interrupted during execution of memory transmission. SOLUTION: A read section 11 of the communication terminal device reads an image of an original consisting of plurality of pages to be sent to a destination and the resulting image is stored once in an image memory 6 as image data. In the case of transmission the original to the destination by memory transmission, number of pages of all originals and number of pages of originals that have been transmitted are stored in a prescribed area of a RAM 7. In the case that the image data of the originals of all the pages cannot be sent to the destination, a recording section prints out the number of the originals, number of transmitted pages or a start page number requiring re-transmission on prescribed recording paper as an error message. Or a display section 9 using a CRT or an LCD displays the error message.
