PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the designing work of a solid figure freely executable. SOLUTION: A computer aided design device 1 is provided with an input device 14, a display device 15, and storage devices 12 and 13 which store the data of previously prepared and previously designed solid figures. The device 1 is also provided with a deforming means which reads out the data of a solid figure from the storage devices 12 and 13 upon receiving an input form the input device 14, displays the projection drawings FB1-FB4 of the solid figure upon a prescribed plane on the screen of the display device 15 and, on the other hand, obtains the data of a bent and deformed solid figure obtained by entirely or partially bending and deforming the solid figure while maintaining the cross-sectional shape of the figure perpendicular to the circumferential direction of the figure along the circumferential surface defined by the input from the input device 14 and displays the bent and deformed solid figure on the screen of the display device 15 as the projection drawings FB10-FB40 upon the prescribed plane.
