PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the KANA(Japanese syllabary)-KANJI(Chinese character) conversion device which can enhance KANA-KANJI conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: An object character string of KANA-KANJI conversion inputted from an input means 2 is supplied by the KANA-KANJI conversion device 11 to a retrieval means 12 and a word analyzing means 13 divides the object character string into words and analyzes them to store their readings. The retrieval means 12 detects a word having the same reading with an object word of KANA-KANJI conversion from the word analyzing means 13 and outputs the detection result to the KANA-KANJI converting means 11, which regards the word as a 1st conversion candidate and detects the word having the same reading with the word being registered in a KANA-KANJI conversion dictionary 3 to obtain 2nd and succeeding conversion word candidate groups. The KANA-KANJI converting means 11 merges the 1st conversion candidate word with the 2nd and succeeding conversion word candidate groups and displays them by a display means 4. |
