PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube improving a BSN characteristic of an electron beam and accomplishing reduction in deflection electric power by constructing a funnel part, to which a deflection yoke is mounted, into a form close to a substantial moving passage for an electron beam. SOLUTION: A cathode-ray tube includes a panel, a neck part, a neck seal part connected to the neck part side, a cone part connected to the neck part, a funnel including a body connected to the panel, and a deflection yoke arranged on the outer circumference of the cone part. In the cathode-ray tube, thickness of the cone part along the tube axis satisfies the following expression among a panel major axis directional thickness Tv, a panel minor axis directional thickness Th, and a panel diagonal thickness Td. Th(z)≈Tv(z)>Td(z).
