PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator having mothproofing and dustproofing functions capable of enhancing maintainability by removing an insect, a dust or the like contained in the atmosphere without using a prefilter. SOLUTION: In the ventilator 1 for ventilating a room by driving fans 9, 10 installed in a body case, sucking the atmosphere from outdoor, introducing the atmosphere into the room, sucking the indoor air and exhausting the indoor air to the outdoor, a separator 12 utilizing a centrifugal force is provided at an atmosphere introducing route in the case. Foreign matters such as an insect, a dust or the like contained in the atmosphere passing through the introducing route in the case are removed by the separator 12, and hence a prefilter for removing the matters is not needed. A work of a problem in a mental hygiene of cleaning or replacing the prefilter is omitted to enhance maintainability of the ventilator 1.
