FIELD: preparation of water- soluble adhesives for glueing of paper labels onto glass, polyethylene and tin containers. SUBSTANCE: described is adhesive composition which comprises Na-carboxymethyl cellulose, caustic coda, urea, casein, antiseptic and water, borax, ratios of components being as follows (kg per 1 t of composition: Na-carboxymethyl cellulose, 15- 30; caustic soda, 3-10: borax, 12-18; urea, 10-20; casein, 200-250, antiseptic 6-14; and water, the balance. EFFECT: higher stability during prolonged storage, greater adhesion and higher binding power of the adhesive composition. 2 cl
