<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a memory utilization factor by storing only required data for a vehicular failure diagnosis. SOLUTION: A calculation part 12 receives an input of detection information from a sensor 2 and checks whether an electronic control system 10 has an abnormality or not. When an abnormality is found, event information is sent to another electronic control system by a communication part 11 and output to an event generation detecting part 13. The event generation detecting part 13 receives an input of an event generation information from another electronic control system by the communication part 11 and determines the generation of an event for the whole electronic control device. When an event is generated, a generation cause signal and a trigger signal are output according to a generation cause. A memory data switching part 15 sets data stored in a data memory part 14 in response to the generation cause signal. A temporary memory part 17 updates data specified number of times and stop updating by the trigger signal.
