PURPOSE: An automatic call generator with a mobile telecommunications network based upon mobile subscriber's location is provided to automatically initiate an outgoing call from a mobile station within a Public Land Mobile Network(PLMN). CONSTITUTION: After receiving a called number and an indication from the mobile subscriber to originate an outgoing call, the mobile station(40) automatically stores the dialed called party number if the mobile station is located outside of the mobile subscriber's designated home zone. Thereinafter, the mobile station monitors the control channel to determine if the mobile station has traveled into the mobile subscriber's home zone. In response to an affirmative determination that the mobile station has traveled into the designated home zone, the mobile station retrieves the previously stored called party number from its memory register, e.g., a Subscriber Identity Module(STM) card, and automatically originates an outgoing call request towards the serving base station controller(BSC). |
