PURPOSE: A method for warning a weak signal of an external signal in connecting an outer device is provided to identify whether images and sound signals from outside exist, when converting into a connection mode with an external AV(Audio-Visual) device, to decide whether the connected AV device is well connected or a signal of the AV device is not generated, when the signals do not exist, and to display the result as OSD(On Screen Display) characters. CONSTITUTION: A TV set has a connection terminal with an external image processor, and has a TV broadcasting receiving mode and an image receiving mode of the outer image processor. A method for warning a weak signal of an external signal when connecting an outer device comprises the steps of: deciding whether an image signal and a sound signal exist, entered through the connection terminal when an input mode of an outer image signal is selected by a user; deciding whether the external image processor is well connected, after deciding one signal does not exist among the image signal and the sound signal; warning that the connection is exact and a signal source does not exist through OSD(On Screen Display) characters, after deciding the connection is exact; and warning that the connection is not exact through the OSD characters, after deciding the connection is not exact. |
