PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce concrete-reinforcing sheared steel fiber having unusual shape, having high tensile strength in itself and having a shape making the fiber become excellent in adhesion to concrete and also in dispersibility. SOLUTION: This sheared steel fiber having unusual shape is produced by sending a thin steel band 1 as a material on a die 2 having a sawtooth-like corrugated upper surface by means of pinch rolls 6, and shearing the band 1 moving on the die 2 from the point of the band 1 with a rotary cutter 19 placed at a distance equal to a preferred clearance from the die 2 by one feed of a blade so as to impart corrugated end face and linear end surface to two long side surfaces of the fiber respectively.
