HEAD CHIP AND HEAD UNIT HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head chip and a head unit having the same wherein a nozzle plate can be readily bonded thereto and is stably held therein. SOLUTION: This head chip comprises a piezoelectric ceramic plate 11 and a nozzle support plate 28 which is bonded to an external side face of an end section of an ink chamber plate 17 at a side of a nozzle plate 25. The nozzle support plate 28 surrounds the end section and has a support face which is flush with end faces of the piezoelectric ceramic plate 11 and ink chamber plate 17. The nozzle plate 25 is bonded to the end faces of the piezoelectric ceramic plate 11 and ink chamber plate 17 and to the support face of the nozzle support plate 28 so that the nozzle plate is stably supported thereby.
