PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the salt regeneration device which is an attachment type device and enables simplification of the regeneration operation of an ion exchange resin water-softener by placing a base main body provided with a two-way switching valve and a salt vessel provided in its screwed base with a double pipe, in the salt regeneration device that is positioned between a water tap and an ion exchange resin water-softener and connected to both of them. SOLUTION: This salt regeneration device consists of a base main body provided with a two-way switching valve 40 and a salt vessel 47 provided with a double pipe consisting of an outer pipe 44 and an inner pipe 45. In the salt regeneration device, when a salt cartridge (consisting of the salt vessel 47) containing salt 48 (sodium chloride) is screwed into the base main body, the two-way switching valve 40 is rotated and elevated to switch the water flow passage from a straight flow passage to a bypass flow passage and tap water is allowed to flow into the base main body through a conduit 2, and successively passed through an inflow base 34 of a two-way switching valve main body 33, an inflow port 33-1, the outer pipe 44 and inner pipe 45, in that order. Thereafter, the tap water is jetted out from an inflow/outflow port 46-1 of a front end cap 46 of the double pipe into the salt vessel 47 to dissolve the salt 48 in the water and to form salt water, and then, the salt water is allowed to flow again upward through the inflow/outflow port 46-1 and the inside of the inner pipe 45 and then, successively passed through each of flow passage ports 40-4, 40-5 and 40-1 of the two-way switching valve 40 in that order and reaches another conduit 2 through an inflow base 35, to introduce the salt water into an ion exchange resin water-softener. By passing this salt water through ion exchange resins in the water-softener, the ion exchange resins can be regenerated.
