摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of breakdown at the time of high-speed cutting in the condition that dimension is prolonged by orientating a specified weight % of TiC whisker at the center part in the longitudinal direction of an end mill along the center part in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: 5-30 weight % of titanium carbide whisker is included in a diameter member corresponding to 30-60% of the outer diameter of the peripheral blade at the center in the longitudinal direction of a cemented carbide end mill. The titanium carbide whisker is orientated in the longitudinal direction of the end mill. Content percentage of the titanium carbide whisker is set at a value more than 5 weight % in consideration that a desirable strength improving effect can not be obtained at a content percentage less than 5 weight %, and that on the other hand, in the case the content percentage exceeds 30 weight %, sintering property is lowered, and lowering of strength due to the lowering of sintering property is generated, and sufficient breakdown resistance can not be secured in both the case. 10-20 weight % of content percentage is desirable.
