PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb back flow ink through compliance of an extended part by projecting an ink guide channel opening and an ink introduction opening to the pressure generating chamber side and extending the holder recess of the sealing plate of a head holder along the shape of the ink guide channel opening. SOLUTION: Cross-sectional area of an ink guide channel 12 is increased by projecting the opening 13 of the ink guide channel 12 and an ink introduction opening 16 to the pressure generating chamber 4 side and channel resistance is decreased when ink flows in. Furthermore, the region in the vicinity of the holder recess opening 13 for making the sealing plate 10 of the head holder 6 deformable elastically is projected along the shape of the opening 13. When a driving signal is applied to the recording head, a piezoelectric oscillation element 7 contracts to expand the pressure generating chamber 4 and ink in a reservoir 3 flows from an ink supply opening 2 into the pressure generating chamber 4. When the piezoelectric oscillation element 7 is discharged upon elapsing a specified time, the piezoelectric oscillation element 7 is elongated and reset.
