PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaseous nitrogen generating device capable of generating gaseous nitrogen high in quality by using compressed air free of oil matter and water mist. SOLUTION: This gaseous nitrogen generating device is constituted of an oil-less compressor 1 producing the compressed air free of oil matter, an air tank 3 connected to the compressed air flowing out from the oil-less compressor through a cooling pipe line, a nitrogen separation membrane 4 connected to the compressed air stored in the air tank through a dryer 10 and a filter 11, and a nitrogen tank 17 for storing the gaseous nitrogen separated in the nitrogen separation membrane. Thus high quality gaseous nitrogen is produced by generating the compressed air free of oil matter, removing moisture in the air by heat releasing work in the cooling pipe line and on the surface of the air tank, dehumidifying and removing moisture in the air dryer, removing all impurity by the air filter, and then supplying high quality clean air to the nitrogen separation membrane.
