The load securing device has dimensionally stable longitudinal elements(2) detachably connected to transverse elements(1) which are mechanically or form locked to vertical elements which may be side walls or uprights. The distance between the transverse elements and distance between the longitudinal elements are respectively adjustable. The longitudinal elements can protrude over the transverse elements and are variable in their length. Inflatable cushions(3) are fitted to the longitudinal and/or transverse elements.
