PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a layout where the memory bandwidth for data processing and data write or the like is not made an issue of by configuring two data bus systems so as to be alternately switched to both memory banks for enabling data access for both a computer and an external device. SOLUTION: A system for the digital video data processing is provided with a special alternate bank memory having two memory banks to store video data. Any of the memory banks can be accessed simultaneously only in relation to read or write. A computer 1 that processes video data can access this alternate bank memory via an internal data bus 2. An external device can access the video data in the alternate bank memory, via an external data bus with respect to the write or read. In order that both the computer 1 and the external device can make access to the video data, two data bus systems are made alternately be switchable to both the memory banks.
