COOLING DEVICE FOR UNDERGROUND POWER TRANSMISSION LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a power transmission line inside a utility tunnel to properly be cooled without increasing the size of a cooling device and its cost. SOLUTION: This cooling device keeps the inside temperature of an utility tunnel 12 at a given temperature by cooling the inside of the utility tunnel 12, and cools the power transmission line 14 indirectly. Ice made by a dynamic ice making and freezing machine 23 of a cooling facility 21 is stored inside an ice heat storage tank 24. Then, cooling water containing this ice is sent out by a conveying pump 26 into a cooling pipe 22 extended inside the utility tunnel 12 and provided with a cold reserving member 30 on the outside circumference of its initial section. The inside of the utility tunnel is cooled by recycling the cooling water inside the tunnel.
