PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit high peak-output pulse laser light through an optical fiber without causing damage to the fiber. SOLUTION: An optical fiber transmission type laser device is provided with a pulse laser oscillator 10, an optical fiber light guide device 28a having an optical focusing system which condenses the pulse laser light L2 emitted from the oscillator 10, and an optical fiber 41 for transmission which receives the pulse laser light L3 condensed by means of the light guide device 28a and transmits the light L3. To at least one of the oscillator 10, light guide device 28a, and optical fiber 41, a means 30 which lowers the coherent of the pulse laser light is provided.
