PURPOSE: A device for adjusting white balance and the method the same are provided to quickly, exactly perform an adjusting operation with an optimum balanced state, by automating a white balance adjustment of TV, performed when delivering goods in a factory, from a manual operation. CONSTITUTION: A device for adjusting white balance comprises a white balance sensor(20), a controller(30), a memory(60), a pulse generator(40), and a pulse transmitter(50). The white balance sensor(20) is attached on the surface of a CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) of TV, and measures a color temperature. The controller(30) senses information on the color temperature, and produces a correction value of the color temperature for a reference color temperature. The memory(60) stores data of the correction value. The pulse generator(40) generates a control pulse for an adjusting command according to a control signal, outputted from the controller(30). The pulse transmitter(50) transmits a pulse signal generated from the pulse generator(40). A method for adjusting the white balance comprises the steps of: measuring the color temperature; comparing the measured color temperature with the reference color temperature, and producing the correction value; outputting the pulse signal for adjusting according to the produced correction value; and automatically adjusting the white balance by transmitting the pulse signal.
