PURPOSE: A method for preventing a pingpong phenomenon during a signal receipt switching operation in an exchange system is provided to effectively use system resources by transmitting the number of signal receipt services during a signal receipt switching service. CONSTITUTION: In a method for preventing pingpong phenomenon during a signal receipt switching operation in an exchange system, a receipt translation signal is input to a member processor(11) to a number translating part(12) in a first exchange system(10), and an information on the number of receipt signal switching service is transmitted form the number translating part(12) to a receipt signal switching service processor(13). When the number of receipt signal switching services is less than a predetermined number, an output relay signal is output. Then, an information on an output relay occupation signal and a receipt signal switching service number is transmitted to an UPC(15) after a looting processor(14) extracts a loot of a second exchange system(20). The UPC(15) transmits an information on IAM message and the receipt signal switching service number to the second exchange system(20). The IAM message is input to a number translating part(22), then further transmitted to a member processor(21) to detect if the receipt signal switching service is registered.
