PURPOSE: A method for correcting an error of recording data in a volume holographic digital storage system is provided to correct an error of hologram data recorded by checking whether an error of the hologram data recorded in storage media. CONSTITUTION: In case that a recording mode is executed, a shutter of a standard light processing path side and a shutter of an object light processing path side are opened(202). An interference fringe is recorded in storage media(204). Reproduction angle information on each hologram data is stored in the storage media(206). In case that a recording of the hologram data is completed, a system control block closes the shutter, and opens two shutters(208). The hologram data recorded are reproduced(210). A comparison block compares original input data with reproduced data(212). The block checks whether an error between two data is generated(214). If it is judged that the error isn't generated, the recording mode is executed(216). In case that the error is generated, the system control block executes a check mode(218). A signal light modulated is projected to the storage media(220). The comparison block compares the original data with checking data converted(222). The block checks whether an error is generated(224). The system block clears reproduction address information previously recorded(226). An alarm message is fetched from a memory, and provided to a monitor(228).
