PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily, rapidly, an accurately acquirable three-dimensional data regarding the path of a circular long length member such as the routing path of a cable when each kind of cable is routed in a complicated state as in a manhole. SOLUTION: In a scanner with left and right rollers 4R and 4L and encoders 5R, 5L, and 5B that are arranged so that a positional relationship can be made for composing an isosceles triangle with a line for connecting the rollers 4R and 4L as one side and a roller 4B as a vertex and detect the rotary angle of the rotary shaft of the rollers 4R, 4L, and 4B, the rollers 4R, 4L, and 4B are rolled along the outer surface of a cable C and the trace of the central position of the cable C is obtained by operation based on a signal from the encoders 5R, 5L, and 5B.
