<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform control at the time of evading the overflow of an output buffer. SOLUTION: In order to eliminate the need of a timer for measuring one cell time, at the time of detecting a free cell from an input cell buffer 4 and at the time of receiving buffer control signals sent out from an output buffer monitoring part 3 in the case of becoming a memory amount equal to or more than a prescribed amount in the output buffer 2 at least, an input cell control part 7 for controlling the input cell buffer 4 for inputting ATM 54-byte cells controls a selector 6 and sends out the invalid cell of 54 bytes to be abandoned on the input side of the output buffer 2 generated in an invalid cell generation part 5 to the output buffer 2 instead of the detected free cell. By the constitution, at least at the time of receiving the buffer control signals from the output buffer monitoring part 3, the invalid cell of 54 bytes is sent to the output buffer 2 and abandoned by the output buffer 2.</p> |
