<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the transmission/reception of images, sound and moving images and cooperation with other modules by electronic mail. SOLUTION: Mail prepared in a multi-media electronic mail system 1 is supplied through a Web server 2 to an extension header addition module 3, a prescribed command is described in the row to which a specified extension tag is attached of the header part and it is transmitted through a mail transmission/reception module 6. For the mail received by the mail transmission/ reception module 6, the row to which the extension tag is attached is analyzed by a header analysis module 5 and it is converted to corresponding data by a command conversion module 4 and then supplied through the Web server 2 to the multi-media electronic mail system 1. In the multi-media electronic mail system 1, character information described in the mail is displayed and specified operations corresponding to the command, the display of the images, the reproduction of the sound/moving images and the cooperation with the other module for instance, are performed.</p> |
