The construction board material, which checks fires, is in a layered structure (40) over the whole surface area, and can be a number of multiple layers (40) over each other. Each layer structure (40) has a series of layers (10,20,21). The inner layer (10) is of cork, flanked by non-elastic clamping and carrier layers (20,21), bonded together by heat and pressure, using an adhesive which penetrates at least partially into the cork layer (10).
