SOLUTION: Pulsated air 5 is introduced into a tower 1a from its lower face, an ascending air current is injected into the waste plastics 6 in the tower 1a to form a fluidized bed 2 of the waste plastics 6, the ascending air current introduced from the lower part of the fluidized bed 2 is pulsated to vibrate the waste plastics 6, and the waste plastics are separated into individual kinds. By determining the blowoff flow rate of the air current and controlling the pulsation frequency of the air to 0-10,000 pulses/min, the waste forms separate fluidized beds according to the difference of their specific gravities and is separated into two kinds of plastics A and B. The pulse interval and width are decreased or increased with time to control the formation of the beds of the plastics, and a desired bed is formed. A chlorine-contg. plastic is separated from the waste plastics with high efficiency in this way.</p>
