<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a binding tie which has sufficiently practically mechanical performance and is excellent in biodegradability by comprising a resin containing a specific amount of poly-3-hydroxybutyric acid. SOLUTION: The biodegradable binding tie comprises a biodegradable resin with a high modulus of elasticity, and it has a fixing part 1 having a region formed in a chevron shape inside and a body part 2 formed in continuous chevron shapes, wherein the body part 2 is inserted into the fixing part 1 so that the respective chevron-shaped portions align with one another to be fixed. The biodegradable resin with a high modulus of elasticity to be used may be, especially poly-3-hydroxybutyric acid blended with another biodegradable resin and inorganic filler added to the biodegradable resin. Poly-3-hydroxybutyric acid should be blended to reach 1 to 60 wt.%. If a ratio of blending is less than 1 wt.%, the modulus of elasticity may not increase, resulting in insufficient strength. If it is higher than 60 wt.%, the resultant resin may lack in flexibility and increases in a binding radius, resulting in limited use.</p> |
