PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep carrying force constant applied to the width direction of each document regardless of its size, and to enhance the carrying performance of documents by preventing documents from skewing in returning each document back to constant glass. SOLUTION: A reference turn-over driving roller 22 and discharging driven roller are disposed so as to slidably come into contact with one end face in the width direction of documents of all sizes at all times, and the plural turn- over rollers 22 and the discharging driven rollers are disposed so as to slidably come into contact with the other end face in the width direction of each size document. When a document is to be returned back to a contact glass 2 with an end face reference of each document, any one of the discharging driven rollers located at a position corresponding to the size of a document to be returned to the contact glass 2, is slidably brought into contact with the turn- over driving roller 22.
