PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing medium carrying mechanism capable of certainly preventing skew movement of a printing medium until it reaches a roller, improving workability and reducing cost and holding printing quality by passing the printing medium through a center of a carrying passage. SOLUTION: It is furnished with a pair of first skew movement preventive parts 4, 4A, 4B to correct skew movement of a large size printing medium 100 and to lead the entering large size printing medium in the carrying direction which is provided on both sides of a carrying passage and a pair of second skew movement preventive parts 5, 5A1, 5B to correct skew movement of a small size printing medium 200, to lead the entering small size printing medium in the carrying direction and to rotationally move diagonally upward by being pushed by the large size printing medium which is symmetrically arranged on a central line in the carrying direction of this carrying passage on this carrying passage.
