PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for transporting a roll product in which an axial fixing work for the roll product against a supporting shaft can be carried out quite easily even with one worker and a superior workability can be attained. SOLUTION: A supporting shaft 4 for a roll product 6 is comprised of a cylindrical supporting shaft main body 50; a connecting rod 52 extending axially within the supporting shaft main body 50; cylindrical adapters 54 installed at both ends of the supporting shaft main body 50 in which a first end 54a is abutted against a pressing plate 70 of the roll product 6; and a cap 56 installed at a second end 54b of the cylindrical adapter 54 in such a way that its axis may substantially coincide with the adapter. The cap 56 has a cylindrical flange 56a applied to cover an outer circumference of the second end 54b of the cylindrical adapter 54. Engaging protrusions 62 removably engaged with a recess 58 formed at a second end 54b of the cylindrical adapter 54 is fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical flange 56a.
